Career Training Online, Mastering Your Mind

Career Training Online – Mastering Your Mind

It’s been said that you can accomplish anything you want to if you will only put your mind to it. The problem seems to be that most of us are not very good about mastering our minds.

Can you remember a time when you were studying a new subject? If it was something you really were fascinated by, you just seemed to drink in all the information that flowed to you, easily, almost effortlessly! Know what I mean? On the other hand…

Remember a time when you had to study a subject you didn’t care about, how easy was that? Yeah!

Today a lot of people going through a career change are interested in career training online. These career changers (or online learners) are often faced with the very same issue. If they love a subject the online training is easy, not so easy if they dislike the subject. So what’s the solution?

Mastering your mind, that’s really the only solution isn’t it? We need to find ways to trick our mind into taking interest in learning about things we have no interest in learning. Here is one method that seems to work pretty well for me…

Whenever I have to study a subject I don’t really care about, I write out a list of all the things that will benefit me when I know this material. Then I review this list, close my eyes and imagine all the cool things I can do with this new information. I imagine it in great detail as if it is real. I imagine some really cool things happening just because I took the time to learn the material. I imagine myself studying the material and actually finding it more and more interesting. I imagine actually having a pretty good time learning it, much better than I really expected! I do this little exercise every morning when I wake up, and every night before I go to bed while I’m taking the training. And the results are…

It works!

It works a lot better, and I do mean a lot better than if I tried to tackle learning the information the way I used to. Struggling every inch of the way and hating every minute of it.

So the next time you have to study material you don’t naturally care for, you may want to try this little trick for mastering your mind!

Enjoy!

Medical Career Training Options – Chiropractic Care

If you are considering a career in the health industry, you may want to consider looking into some type of alternative medicine.

One of the more widely accepted is Chiropractic. There are a lot of arguments both in support of and against Chiropractic care. But the fact remains, many people seek out and find relief with a good Chiropractor.

Training to become a chiropractor takes about 6 years (3 yrs of Chiropractic School, after 3 yrs of college education). The cost of schooling for this field is estimated between $45,000 and $55,000.

Chiropractic care is based on the thought that the human body has the power to heal itself. The belief is, when the body (spine) is in proper alignment, healing takes place naturally, especially for skeletal and muscular types of problems.

The average salary in 2009 for a Chiropractor was about $94,000.

Career Training Online – Career Development Plan

What’s one strategy that helps you become more valuable over time?  Personal development planning, of course!

Here’s why it’s important to you…

The bottom line is that the only job security you have in life rests between your two ears.  No company has complete loyalty to an individual, times change, specific skills can become less valuable over time… nothing outside of you can give you job security.

But that powerful thing between your ears can give you job security.  Not only job security but career advancement too.

All you need to improve your job security and to help guarantee your career advancement is a good personal development plan.

Here’s what your personal development plan should include…

1. Self-analysis.  Analyze your strengths, your weaknesses, your natural abilities, any special talents you have, any special training you have, your likes, your dislikes, your experience… what skills are you most recognized for, what kind of things do you do better than most people, what special experience and knowledge of the been exposed to…

2. Personal assessments and career assessments.  Go online and look for any free career assessments that are offered.  Also look for any personality profiles that are offered.  Take these free online tests and get a great idea of what types of careers are best for you.

3. Define your ideal career.  Write out a statement that defines the perfect career for you in an ideal world.  Also write out major career goals for yourself, what you plan to accomplish in your career life.

4. Target your opportunities. Write down a list of the top 10 companies you would love to work for.  Start writing out a strategy for getting into each of these companies.

5. Create a strategy.  Take all the information you’ve gained in the first four steps listed above and create a plan that will take you from where you are now to the career you want to have.  List everything you would have to do to get there.  List and free skill you need to develop.  List training you need to take.  List personal characteristics or traits you want to develop, or traits that will help you be more successful.  List every company, person, organization that can help you reach your goal.  Create a timeline and include what you’ll accomplish in the first week, the second week, the third week… right out of step-by-step plan to take you all the way to your ideal career.

6. Follow your plan. After you’ve created a strategy to take you where you want to go, you simply follow your plan.

Follow these five steps and you will definitely increase your job security and your career advancement going forward.

Career Training Online – Strategic Planning

Posted In Career Planning | No comments

In business, strategic planning determines the long-term impact of an organization. Successful businesses identify their mission; their mission influences their vision. All these effect their strategy and their level of success. Without a good strategic plan, most companies flounder and then fail.

If strategic planning is so important to business success, it makes perfect sense that almost all successful individuals have a strategic plan for their own personal success!  What about you? Do you have a strategic plan for your personal success?

Here’s what a good strategic plan covers…

  • A Clear Vision Statement
  • A Solid Mission Statement
  • Identifying Everything That Will Cause Success
  • Identifying Risks, Obstacles, and Challenges
  • Developing Specific Strategies and Action Plans to Meet Objectives
  • Creating and Prioritize a Completion Time-line

These make up the foundation of an attainable strategic plan.

To develop your own personal strategic plan, ask yourself the following questions:

  • What is your vision for your life/business?
  • What are the things you can do best?
  • What value are you (or your business) going to provide?
  • What needs do you fill for people/customers, that others cannot provide as well?
  • What image do you want for your business/yourself?
  • What excellent things do you want to be known for?
  • Who is your ideal customer?
  • What products and services can you provide in an excellent way?
  • What needs are you going to satisfy?
  • What are your personal/business philosophies, ethics, social commitment, and your values?
  • What value will you provide to your customers, your suppliers and your distributors?
  • Where will you be in one year, three years, and five years from now?

Figure out how to grow your value and expand your current success.  Decide what untapped markets you want to pursue and what specific things you can do to dominate by replacing your competitors and by fulfilling unmet needs.

Create a solid plan that includes your vision of your future, your mission in life, know what will ensure your success, know your obstacles and plan around them, create a success plan, and develop a task list with timelines.

When you do this little exercise and create a strategic plan out of it, you’ll find greater and greater success as you follow your plan!

To Your Success!

Career Change Advice, Become a Millionaire…

Career Change Advice, Become a Millionaire…

I spent this weekend with several millionaires and we had a nice time. Nothing super extravagant, just great conversations.

One theme that kept coming up was how when you have money you can focus on doing so much more with your life. Unfortunately this seems too far away for most people. Most people are just trying to make a living. They have to worry about making ends meet.

It’s so interesting to think about, because each of these millionaires really grew up with little or nothing. Yet they each were able to rise above the situation, work smart, and obtain wealth.

The same can happen for YOU! If…

Henry Ford once said, “Whether you believe you can or you believe you can’t, you’re right!”

If you believe you are destined for greater things, YOU ARE! And you will reach greater things if you stand firm in this belief.

Today get focused on your incredible potential. Realize that you have unique talents, gifts, abilities that this world needs. Start asking yourself every day, “What can I do to serve others in a way that will return to me millions of dollars in financial worth?”

As you ask yourself this question daily, eventually you will start to receive answers, then simply take action on the ideas and solutions that are presented to you!

Now what better career could there be than to follow an abundant and rewarding life work?

If you’re considering a career change, why not think BIG! Why not just follow your dreams!

To your success!

Career Training, Choosing the Right Career Training For You!

Choosing the Best Career Training For You!

Did you know that over 150,000 people per month search the web for the term “career training”?  Now that’s a lot of people interested in career training.  But the real question is, why are they interested in career training?  What are they ultimately trying to get?

Most people look into career training because they want to find a good way to make more money. They either want to improve their current skills so they’re worth more money, or they want to develop new skills that will help them be more marketable.

If you are looking into career training, here are a few things to think about…

  1. Before you start looking for career training, it’s important to assess what’s important to you.  Assess your likes and dislikes, your interests, your natural talents and abilities… in other words, only go after career training that is in line with your aptitudes and your interests.  There are far too many people walking around with college degrees in fields they don’t even work in today.
  2. Use online career assessment tests, personality profile test, skill assessments, interest assessments, and any other tool you can find to help you get clear.
  3. Try to find people who already work in a career field you’re interested in, and learn as much about that field as you can.  The pros and cons.
  4. Try to find a part-time job or an apprenticeship in a career field you are interested in.
  5. Don’t let potential earnings taint your selection process.  I’ve seen a lot of people go into career fields because they hear you can make a lot of money in them, only to find out they actually hate that type of work.  Wasted time, wasted effort, and it always ends in failure.  Back to point number one, only go after something you can be successful in.

When you realize how few people really end up working in their dream job, it’s all the more important to examine yourself closely and to choose your career training wisely!   Follow the five tips listed above and you’ll certainly be a lot closer to your dream job than if you don’t.

To your career success!
